Dr Chua Wei Liang is a senior orthopaedic surgeon in Singapore with a focus on hip and knee joint replacement, knee sports injuries, lower limb fractures, and joint degeneration. His care philosophy centres on clear communication, patient comfort, and supporting each individual through recovery and rehabilitation.

With over 15 years of experience across both public and private healthcare systems, Dr Chua has managed a wide range of lower limb conditions, including trauma, arthritis, and sports-related injuries. He works closely with patients to develop treatment plans that are appropriate to their condition, lifestyle, and goals.
His subspecialty interests include minimally invasive and robotic-assisted hip and knee replacement, partial knee replacement, and anterior or posterior hip replacement. He keeps current with developments in surgical techniques and recovery protocols to support effective outcomes and safe patient care.

Dr Chua graduated from University College London in 2006 and completed his orthopaedic training through the NUHS Residency Programme. He earned his Master of Medicine (Orthopaedic Surgery) from the National University of Singapore in 2015 and was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2017. He further completed subspecialty fellowships in Taiwan (AO Trauma) and the UK (Wrightington Hospital for Hip and Knee Surgery).

He has served in leadership positions, including Head of the Hip & Knee Surgery Service at National University Hospital (NUH) and Deputy Head of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Alexandra Hospital.

He is currently practising at Orthopaedic Associates at Mount Elizabeth Medical Centre (Orchard and Novena).
